Sorry !!!

I know it has been a LONG TIME!  Since then - I became a new Grandma - YEAH! and then a cadre of other things have kept me from having the time to be creative.  I have recently gotten into that room to get things organized so I could get to work.  You know how it is when you go shopping, buy all these great stamps, lots of new designer paper, the embellishments, etc. and take them to the room.  You have all these wonderful ideas and cannot wait to get started but cannot get in there for one rearson or another.  Well, the purchases have been many and work has been little.  I feel like it is Christmas with all the packages - I actually don't remember buying some of them.  I have been printing the pix for my new little one's first scrapbook.  I did make 45 thank you's for my daughter and that is it.  I AM READY TO GO!  Check back really soon.  I AM BACK!

It's Your Birthday!

I made several cards for my daughter's 30th birthday this week and forgot to take pictures.  I love the "Pun Fun" set.  It can be childish or for the childish adult in all of us.  I used a retired designer paper for the country colors in this design.  Also have the same design in Cutie Pie.  I used the cake with spring paper, which I will post later.  I layered everything from the first crossover, the diagonal, the hippo, and then the head of the hippo.  This was an altered CASE from arcarlough on SCS.  You can see the layers in this photo. It's your birthday is part of "A Little Birdie."

 

The Week from Somewhere???

WOW!  What a week... It started out so nice with Monday night school board meeting that only lasted 20 minutes - I am the superintendent so I wanted it to end quickly so I could get to my stamping club get-together.  I still attend my upline's club as I enjoy the company and girl talk.  Most of them are associated with schools, not mine.  I had so much fun.  It is so nice to chit chat and relax while being so creative! 

THEN here comes Tuesday and the week went downhill and stayed there!  All I can say is that DCFS was involved for one incident that took all week and then involving the local authorities for girls putting inappropriate pix on a certain website and telling the world that they are much older than 12 or 13.  They do this at home and their parents have no clue.  WARNING: If you have kids, do a search on that website and see what pops up for your family.  I have the local authorities coming back next week to scare the "tar" out of the girls.  I know every young generation always thinks they are indispensible.  Today, you have to worry about global idiots and not just the local ones.  SO glad my kids are raised, but now I worry about my granddaughters.

Now here it is Saturday night and I am finally ready to be creative and I am tired - caffiene/coffee aren't working here.  I have two big orders from SU for ME that came and I just had to place another last night.  Where does the time go???  I have added the group to my list tonight.  Check to see if you are listed correctly and please let me know if not.  It worked the first time - I think.  This is so much fun to share with each other.  I wish I could spend the entire day tomorrow to advance this blog QUICKLY!  Thanks for being patient with me.  I cannot wait to visit all of you as I go to see what you have been up to.  Happy Stamping !!!!!!!

My First Upload!

I'm just lovin' how easy this is - I remember the old days of writing html and using FrontPage - WOW!  This was my first attempt to upload a pix.  After a few tries, I finally have one that looks more pleasing to the eye. 

I love this set - A Little Birdie Told Me ... I used the new Designer Papers along with pumpkin pie, bashful blue, and old olive card stock.  I stamped and cut the bird and umbrella from matching paper.  I wish I had used textured paper for the blue. 

I did it - I'm a BLOGGER!  Just shows you can teach an older dog new tricks!

Getting Started...

At 11 this morning I decided that this was going to happen.  Last fall, I signed up for this blog and then for a four week course to help me.  You can see that nothing happened.  I didn't have time to listen to the weekly calls - or did not make more time to listen to any after the first two.  This is my weekend challenge!!!!  I have to read all the info and trial and error will prevail.  If you stop by in the midst of a mess, please come back later to see what has been fixed.  I love the look of too many blogs to not create my own!
